The community of Arran along with The Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST) have worked tirelessly to raise awareness and campaign for measures to be put in place to protect the seabed around Arran from some of the most destructive forms of fishing.

In 2008, they achieved victory with the introduction of the No Take Zone in Lamlash Bay.
